I have been going in so many different directions in the past several months. Dulcimer Campfire is out and I have been promoting the book. I have been working on my music and attending several festivals. Our duet Sweet Strings has been practicing and we actually have a gig coming up where we can promote ourselves and everything Homer! I am excited that this whole esperience just keeps growing. I love the instrument. I love the music and I am happy that I can do both. When you find something that you really like to do it is importatnt that you just do it and not sit on the sidelines. You may not always be good at what you do but you can only get better if your practice and have confidence in what you are doing. The rest will follow. So sometime in the future you may find my books in a bookstore or online and you may see an advertisement for some duet named Sweet Strings. If you do I hope you pick up the book and read it and if you can come hear us play that would also be wonderful.

It important that for anything you do in life that you have a good foundation on which to build that life. I feel that foundation starts with a good education. Students should be well versed in the basic skills needed for life. A good grasp on grammer, spelling, math, and science. Along with writing my childen's books and playing the mountain dulcimer I have written a couple of songs for the dulcimer. Phase 1 of the book editing is complete. After putting the book together we had to check punctuation and layout and context. The new format in reviewing allows you to check your files online before getting a hard copy. this lets you to correct mistakes or make changes quicker and to print as clean as possible a proof copy of the book. Well it is a new month. Time goes on. This year is fastly coming down the home stretch. In reviewing everything I discovered that my book Receipes from an Executive Chef was released on this date in 2010. My how time slips away. Homer the dulcimer is all about music. He loves to play and entertain. He goes to as many dulcimer and music events that he can. It makes him happy when the music makes people smile. I have been busy this past weeks working on the second Homer the Dulcimer book. This one is titled Dulcimer Campfire. The story has steadily progressed. It is such a joy to let my imagination take me away into Homer's world and let me experience life as Homer sees it. The secret to writing they say is to write about what you know. Tomorrow we are going to Lake Wales to support our friend Fletcher in the Lake Wales Relay for Life. RFL is a wonderful organization to become involved in. The support many individuals who have had cancer. Cancer is a horific disease that takes many lives prematurely. If we can help just one individual it is worth it. Did you know everyone is creative in their own way. Everyone has special talents. Sometimes they do not even know they have them. We can become so obsorbed in our daily lives that we fail to take a time out and explore other aspects of our mental capacity.
