Compacent - Status Quo - Let it be - Do nothing! Wow I cannot believe that is has been over a year since I have posted to my blog. A lot has happened in the past year and much of my time has been taken up with that change, yet that should not be an excuse for not being here doing what I need to be doing to promote my book and better yet the mountain dulcimer. A little over a year ago I lost my job and feeling depressed it was hard for me to focus on my dulcimer activities. Two months after getting layed off I found a wonderful new job. This job has taken up a lot of my time both physically and emotionally. After 18 months on the job I was finally able to take a vacation and come back rejuvenated. I am now ready to get back to working on my Mountain Dulcimer activities. I have reworked the website. I hope you like the new background that I have. It is a little bit more whimsical and I love the flock of birds and the musical notes! Along with the reworked website I hope to get back soon to working on the second book about Homer. This one will continue the journey of my friend and he will have some pretty neat new adventures. I have also been working on playing my mountain dulcimer. My wife Ellen has been working hard as well and we have formally started a new Duo called Sweet Strings. I will be adding a page for Sweet Strings. As I wind down over the next several years from working fulltime we hope to ramp up playing in public. We completed one gig in October at our local church festival and we will be back at the county fair in early spring in Kissimmee. Hopefully I can get back to writing on my blog on a more timely manner and not be 'complacent' in letting this website just trudge along without a rudder!!
