Excerpt from Chapter One:
Tired of playing games Homer asked his dad to tell the story of the old lady that haunts the sugar ruins. "That old story," his dad said. "Haven't you heard that old tale enough?" "Please Dad" Homer and his sister begged. Their posture straightened up and the hairs on the back of their neck started to stand up as he started to weave the tale of the old lady that used to live and work on the plantation.
