I am married to my high school sweetheart, Ellen. We have been married for over 40 years. We have four children and seven granchildren.
We live in Central Florida where there are many opportunities to play the Mountain Dulcimer.
We currently own 7 dulcimers.
I have been playing the Mountain Dulcimer for over eight years. Ellen started playing a couple of years ago. We both play with several dulcimer groups and we often play for the public.
My love for the mountain dulcimer brought me to writing the story of Homer the dulcimer. My first book 'Dulcimer X'ing' introduces Homer and the various characters that Homer interacts with. There will be more books in the series dedicated to following the adventures of Homer as he tries to get everyone to accept this simple instrument.
I have a new hobby - Stain Glass making. I am incorporating my new stain glass hobby with the mountain dulcimer and specializing in Mountain Dulcimer Stain Glass.
Ellen loves to sew. She has started to make me Comfort Bags to help protect my dulcimers. Now we have decided to offer them to the public as well.
